Derby Equipment??????

What's the equipment listed on the equibase chart for Giacomo???? He was not running first time Lasix today.

looks like bar shoes. (l)

Only other possibility is "Running W's" (1) and I don't know what the hell that is.

per TG board, Equibase screwed up, Whack-a-mole was not wearing Bar shoes, they just thought he was. Apparently Shirrefs had duct taped his feet for the walk to the paddock, where he took the duct tape off. They mistook the duct tape for bar shoes.

A running W is used to keep a horse's tongue in position. It's a piece of metal shaped like a W with straps leading off the top of the W on both sides. The straps go around the head (behind the ears like a noseband) with the metal V part in the horse's mouth laying flat against the tongue.
