Mitole

I thought he should not have been the fav
Last time out, but it went out as the fav.. obviously barn had some money
In the race.. just like Tacitus who was 10-1 ml , but went out at 5-1 on ky derby
day

Asmussen very confident in this horse.. was pulling away from the field at 7 f last time out , plus has speed to position

I just realized that this is triple crown board 😀Sorry

Mitole was in the midst of a 5-race win streak in the Churchill Downs Stakes and has been well-hyped thanks to his arsenal of powerful speed figures in those races.

He was more than a deserving favorite. That said, he probably shouldn't be the favorite in the Met Mile since he has yet to stretch out past 7f.

Isn't McKinzie the 5/2 ML favorite?

Yes, I believe you are correct.

I don't have the sheet with the odds on it (I never look at odds til I'm done handicapping) but curious ....what are the odds on Firenze Fire?

3rd favorite. 4/1.

FYI. FF is getting a lot of love on Twitter if that means anything to you.

Thunder Snow who has won over $16 million is the 4th ML favorite at 5/1.

Great field. The Met always delivers year in and year out.

Thank you! Looks like a great race! Just not one that I have a lot of experience analyzing. If I were smart I'd probably pass the Belmont Stakes and spend $$ on this one instead, but I really don't have a handle on this race at all historically speaking.
FF certainly appears to love Belmont, but there are a couple others in the race who also seem to like it.

Been some monsters lately with Mor Spirit, Frosted, and Palace Malice running the field off the their feet. Frosted in 1:32 and change has to be one of the most impressive races ran this century.
