dear NYRA
thanks for a great racing program yesterday, i only wish curlin had won, but that is horseracing.
i noticed your total handle for yesterday was about $15 million for the day.
looking at hollywood park who featured the swaps stakes, 4 horse race, had to do over $25 million. i am not sure of that number because equibase did not post the total handle yesterday. how can you possibly have less of a handle than hollywood park with a much better product?
i also noticed this year that tracks around you seem to have decent handles, monmouth, deleware and even sulfolk. those tracks are only on 1 tv station, HRTV or TVG.
i have about 25 friends that have stopped betting on new york racing, and lots more that have cut back. we have wagering accounts with places like PREMIER TURF CLUB. they don't accept wagers from your venues. i wonder if the distribution segment of your opperation needs to be looked at imediately, before places like philadelphia park and presque isles begin to eat your lunch. also please check out the casino's they don't charge you to walk in the door, or for your programs.. a matter of fact, they actually reward you for giving them your wagering action. you have a hold of up to 25% and maybe give your larger customers 1% for their wagers. maybe you should take a closer look at that program. and finally i wonder how much of a sucess your grand slam bet has been, personally i am to dumb to understand it, i wonder if others are as stupid as myself

Rewards Program
On Saturday, NYRA did offer free parking and free admission, and has in the past done fan appreciation days offering the same.
Grand Slam: It's sort of like a Pick 4 .. only your horse does not have to WIN the first three legs. Instead, your horse must run 1st-2nd-3rd in the first three legs. In the final leg, your horse must win.

Dear NYRA
management's attitude toward the unwashed "untouchables" (bettors/customers) might need examination.
P.S. I haven't played a N.Y. venue in over 3 yrs because you guys are clueless and don't seem to want to take your heads out of the sand. The only thing you guys want is Big Salaries and more Gov't bailout. But then again, I am just one of the unclean "untouchables".
Is there a race track I can play in Bombay India?

Grand slam and pick 4s are the only wagers I make in NYRA.
That being said I wish every track had a grand slam!
But I doubt most can get handle like NYRA

Also NYRA trustees and management are a whole lot less uppity than they were 30 years ago. Personally, I have few complaints about NYRA and am thankful they kept the franchise--
Finally, The Pha or Presque Isle eating NYRA's lunch??? Someone is seriously delusional.....

Dear NYRA:
I love betting BELMONT PARK. And since you've haven't negotiated a contract with PREMIER TURF CLUB, I will continue to bet BELMONT, SARATOGA and AQUEDUCT through an offshore racebook named PINNACLE SPORTS....get it? Why won't you authorize your NYRA signal to PTC...for 'GOOD SOUND REASONS' or 'REASONS THAT SOUND GOOD'...I suspect the latter.
Oh yeah NYRA, since I've been betting BELMONT PARK lately through PINNACLE SPORTS, your tracks and horsemen have received nothing...zilch...nada. I betcha a lot of other horse players are doing the same when betting your tracks, so take some good advice...quit making lame excuses...get with it, and get hooked up with PTC and you'll be glad you did. Who wouldn't you want more revenue for your tracks and horsemen? It you don't, that arouses suspicions of one kind or another.

dilusional?
you think i made a dillusional statement? have you seen how many mares have left the state of new york to head down the road to pennsylvania to go into the best breeding program around?
take a good look at the program in INDIANA today. they want to be better than pennsy!
what do you think is going to happen when texas finally gets their slot machines in the race tracks. they have million dollar purses built into the texas stallion stakes program.
there is nothing dillusional about other states trying to benefit from the horse racing industry.

Per Equibase today, the Hollywood handle on 6/12 was 13.6 million not 25 million.
