Dos Box

Does anyone here want to help with Dos Box and I will make a cheat sheet?
I did the Dos Box thing many years ago and have the urge to print things that are forced to full screen.

I do not understand what you are trying to do. Maybe this will help.

That is the run of the mill standard that I plowed threw. There are different versions and what I was fishing for was a way to send screens to the old parallel printer port when said program had no printer support. Any old dos progie you can right click on the top border and drag down mark and hit return then content of that screen can be pasted into notepad. I thought dosbox would take care of the forced full screen that had no border but the version I installed marking the page was not available. Every 5 years or so I pull out the box of Sartin programs and we mess with each other. The last time I talked to Binder he told me he would look around but he was not doing well, 3 days later he was gone. He got me started on dosbox many many years ago as he helped everyone with older programs. Most people today do the virtual machine route and dosbox. Thanks for stopping by and posting something.

Does Ctrl-F5 no longer work to capture the screen? After your dos session you could print the resulting .png files.

I've used DOSBOX for years. Are you trying to print from inside DOSBOX? What works for me is to send the output to a TEXT file and then print from NOTEPAD or WORDPAD. I use a FREE program call NOTEPAD++, which is very good.

What program are you using that you want printed output for? Will it allow you to send the output to a text file?

I would be willing to talk with you via phone, if that would help. Send me a PM.

If it's printing you want, I used to use a program called Dos2USB WITH mph with good results.

Yes tom, but that works only if the program outputs screens. Energy works with dos2usb but selector does not. It goes into forced full screen.
