The Trumpster will wind up further in the dumpster. Just a few days after Mueller, with hardly an adequate period to dissect it critically, and before Mueller and Don McGahn (maybe Chumy's John Dean) testify. Not even waitiong for his financial records we have....
Investigations needed for the impeachment process, may be enough without conviction in the repug controlled senate to sink the repugs beyond recognition.
Pelosi does not have to announce it officially. The process is underway

Questions
Did the electorate really send representatives to Washington to spend so much time attacking, investigating, or defending the President?
When does meaningful legislation get passed?
Are you happy paying their salaries to engage in this eternal Lilliputian bickering in a sandbox?

What is the difference since he was elected?
More people in jail?

Why? Cause it is all 'political' nowadays.
The fight on the Left and Right is endless, and they try to one up each other at any cost for any piece of skin they can get.
Whether they think it is the right thing to do or not, it is a pure power struggle between the 2 parties looking for ultimate control regardless of how they can get it.
It was hilarious watching Bernie Sanders and his town hall on Fox a week back or so. They must have asked about 9 or 10 questions and his initial response was "Let's not get too political here...". Really? Are you not a politician looking to be our POTUS?
The whole system needs an enema. Sadly, it is only going to get worse before it gets better. Hell, go out on Twitter for a day or two. It is completely insane.

Well if you think he committed "high crimes and misdemeanors" then you have a Constitutional obligation.

Impeachment is nothing more than harassment. Democrats know it would fail in the Senate. Besides, no democrat would trade Trump for Pence.

I don't know how smart it is.
Fear of backfire like the Republicans got with Clinton I think is unfounded. The President is really unpopular and welded to that 39-42% approval rating. At the ballot box we know the Trump base will turn out but that number is very finite at this point.
Politically as long as it's slow and methodical I don't think it hurts the Democrats. They could also forgo it and go the death by a thousand cuts which seems to be the strategy now unless something changes (Polls most likely) and Republican buckling (unlikely).
Legally it comes down to the interpretation of High Crimes and Misdemeanors. If the standard is a law on the books was broken then it's unlikely. If one uses Justice Marshall's interpretation it's a no brainer yes.
Democrats are going to harass him regardless from here on out. Latest word is the WH is toying with using executive privilege to prevent McGahn from testifying... that's DOA.
After a series of courtroom defeats like McGahn, his taxes, subpoena's... who knows what the landscape will look like.

Mueller was head of FBI in 2012 when the FISA abuses began
an honorable man would have recused he has been covering up his own crimes.

Well here you go - Mueller is not an honorable man.
He's a democrat.
