I liked that horse only at a price, didn't love the shaky and incomplete work pattern, he was bet down too much so I skipped.

Is it worth the 660 to box finale field in tri? Or throw out one horse and spend 495? Who do u throw out though. If there ever calls for 'boxing everyone' isn't this the race?

6 had some serious kin to be 30-1. You never know with those, sometimes they run without any action.

Even with two prices AND the fave out , the box all LOST money. Usually a bad play.

It's a bad play unless you can safely toss out a couple, if u safely tossed 2 of them (the 2 and one other horse) the bet only costs 336 or something like that, a bit 'less' Of a bad play.

DOGTOWN established the front early on while under a good hold and showed the way until joined inside by BUNYAAN with six furlongs to run, dueled from that point in hand to the outside of that rival through the turn coming under coaxing five-sixteenths from home, swung three wide into upper stretch joined to the outside by the eventual winner, succumbed near the three-sixteenths and weakened in the late stages while along for the show honors.
race 6 7f T sMC40 $41k f/m 3up driven by speed (P 2) (6/1)
Finished 1st @ 5.00 12.00 7.20 4.70 in 80.88

Quote:
DRIVEN BY SPEED responded to some light hand urging right after the start and sped to the top, sat entrenched towards the two path carving out the pace on an open lead and with the rider applying a snug hold on the left side, continued along under the same set up to the end of the bend, was almost at the three-sixteenths marker before switched over to a drive, held a straight course kicking clear, crossing the wire under a vigorous hand ride.
race 7 10f T Alw90 n1x $90k f/m 3up nw2x taralena (E/P 6) (5/2)
Finished 1st @ 2.25 6.50 3.80 2.50 in 121.59

Quote:
TARALENA coaxed from the gate, spurted away in the two path in tandem with QUIET PREDICTION to her outside, settled in a comfortable rhythm in hand down the backstretch at times slipping a bit away from her escort, had the field advance on her through the far turn and remained patiently handled spinning just off the inside for home, got roused straightened away, dug in under threat to the outside through the final furlong, held gamely and stubborn to prevail at the finish.
race 8 7f oc62.5 n2x $80k 3up nw3 or cl62.5 gypsum johnny (E/P 5) (2/1)
Finished 1st @ 1.70 5.40 3.60 2.40 in 83.56

Quote:
GYPSUM JOHNNY was coaxed along prompting the pacesetter from the two path, moved when ready at the three-sixteenths marker challenging three wide, wrested away the top almost instantaneously and scampered away during the rest of the trip to the eighth pole then stayed comfortably in the clear.

Whaddya know. Looks like the breeding on Edith Court might have escaped the bettors, but didn't escape Linda Rice. Claimed.
