I like the RAN line just as much if not better than if it’s on a fast track

For perspective - The 12 Furlong Isaac Murphy Marathon just ran - Ramon Vazquez broke from the 1 hole and went wire to wire - took his horse about 3 wide around the whole track. Basically taunting all the riders to go inside of him. Rained last night... I expect it'll rain Friday and be similar to todays racing conditions. Obv, grain of salt... track super will likely massage the dirt by hand before post time anyway. Interesting start of the week though.

CD is kind of strange. When most tracks get sloppy you worry about the rail, but at CD sometimes the rail gets better.

Living in Louisville, I've been going to CD for decades. The track drains really well, and the workers do a remarkable job getting it to dry out with skimming and raking. Forecast is potential rain in the morning, but not much. If that holds true, they'll have the track fast by Derby post time.

I'm most worried about the turf racing under soft/yielding conditions. New turf course right? Will it hold up? Hoping for a safe weekend

A cold front should have pushed through by Derby post, with drying winds out of the northwest. The worst case scenario IMHO is a drying out track, with sticky mud. The 2009 win by Mine That Bird comes to mind - he loved the mud that day, many others in the field hated it...

Pretty cool, though. The big day is the latest in the month it can normally be, and the people there will be dealing with wind-chill factors.
I did not have that on any of my Futures.

Yes, we'll see what the condition is during tomorrow's Turf races.

Tonight the rain is at 1-3 am

Are you betting the pick 5 Andy?
