Spendarella

Maybe she got lost in the shuffle of all the Alabama & Saratoga action this weekend, but this NY bred filly blew the field away in the Gr1-DelMar Oaks yesterday.

Was 3-3 in America before heading to Royal Ascot in June, where she ran a good 2nd (to the very nice filly Inspiral)in the Gr1 Coronation. I think Inspiral is undefeated.

Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for her

She's terrific. Not sure how strong that race was at Del Mar but she's really good. Hopefully a bunch of these talented 3YO fillies meet in the QEII at Keeneland.

Inspiral was beat next out against fillies & mares but she came right back to beat the filly who upset her last time, as well as older males (including a BC Mile winner & a Cox Plate winner) and the top 3yo miler in a Group 1 in France.

She looks really good to me so far. Hopefully she keeps moving forward because these young turf horses tend to develop later. She's probably still quite a bit behind the very best older mares.

I had BRIS pp's for the race so I don't know if that's higher or lower than her previous figs.
She's awesome, but needs to do better if she wants to tangle with the big girls.
