Anyone playing Indy today?

Sorry--no 10th or 11th: both quarter horses

Good Luck,

Meadowlands Race #4

Good Looking horse in the 4th @ Meadowlands today. Ranks high on turf, top trainer, top Platinum Power by daylight, top speed, top early and top late.

No guarantees, but anywhere near that ML-- Peppi's worth a couple ducats. These are the horses you look for in Platinum.

Good Luck,
-NCG

Damn, wish I'd seen this earlier. Nailed it Greg, didn't get quite that ML price but not bad, paid $9.40/$4.80/$4.80. Watched replay, Peppi went to the lead early, pulled off and won easy. Nice call

This particular Pace-View user is really raking it in--I get email from this gentleman couple times a month. I encourage users to let me know when they win big:

"Keenland--Top E1 E2 horse 4th Race, KITCHI from the Best 5 program, the #10, paid $41."

Although Keenland isn't one of my favorite tracks--I do like the TOP E-1 E-2 play. Even if he folded up shop soon after--he did have the lead for half the race, which bears noting.

Back on

Hi all, Back on here after a couple of years hiatus. Thanks to Greg for getting me setup again.
Anyone seeing anything big today?
Any tracks that I should stay away from?

Betting races with first time racers

So I am looking at Keeneland today and I see a few races with never before raced horses. Is the consensus to stay away from those races or just eliminate any never before raced horses.
Keeneland Race 4 has 5 of these horses.

1st Timers

I don't happen to be one of them--but there are some guys that do well ONLY playing first-time starters using pedigree stats, connections, surface, etc.

Oh well...to each his own...I have no interest in Pedigree at all.

I'm mainly interested in cheap claimers--by the time they get to that level, pedigree is of no importance.

Claimers

Greg do you penalize a horse who is good on the platinum program but is stepping up in class

top e1, e2 play

greg: if a horse is top e1, e2 is there a needed point differential to the next horse or is just 1 point difference for both tops e1, and e2 enough? thanks.

Not at all...if the price is right--and the horse appears to have a shot. Sometimes I get downright giddy when a horse is just being ignored for that reason.

Naw..it's gotta be more than that, Jim. That whole idea of a "pace-point" differential is flawed. Better to look for a big gap in Power Numbers, or a class gap.
I use today's purse to rate class...instead of conditions, etc.

Remember, most of the entries today didn't race each other last time, the pace scenario was probably completely different. It may be favorable today, may be worse. You'll see a lot of speedballs run an E-1 over 100 and finish last. Once in a while, that speed will hold up depending on who else is in the race....in which case just about every bettor will notice and hammer that horse.

***Penn isn't my favorite track--but there are decent horses with good ratings and morning lines, going today. Exactas, Trifectas, or maybe a decent Pick-3 would make my day

Good Luck,

Speaking of tracks

What are your thoughts on these tracks for your handicapping system.

Belmont
Dayton
Hoosier
Yonkers
Remington

Good, OK or stay away from?

Nice!

Once again Mahoning is back...let's make some money this meet.

No big prices on the Hot List, but there's potential. When you see a horse tops on Power Number & Prime Power--don't get your hopes up too high, but if he goes off at 3-1 or better, jump on him.

JOIN THE PARTY 3-1

DOUBLE D'S REVENGE (think I saw that movie) @ 4-1

Even the 12-1 shot TROPICAL CYCLONE on the comp report shows decent numbers.

Good Luck
