Christian Eriksen
Scary scene at the European Championships.
Danish soccer player collapsed on the field in full cardiac arrest in a game against Finland last week. Reports say he was "gone"...luckily, they were able to revive him. What tremendous job the medical team did to save his life.
He's now recovering in the hospital.

Nope. That would be the most dangerous thing to do, in terms of science.
I mean, why in the world wouldn't you be exploring that angle in a 30yo or younger athlete in top physical shape otherwise?
Unless you don't care about people.

PS. good to know somebody other than me was asking this question...and that this potential cause can be eliminated.
Sometimes athletes just drop in their tracks mid-game...it happens...luckily, it appears Eriksen is going to recover.

Here in the US, of the 30 clubs in MLB, there are still  teams that haven't reached the threshold of 85% vaccinated players and on-field personnel that would allow the teams to relax safety precautions (like masks in the dugout).
Many of the remaining teams will never reach that threshold because they just happen to have a higher percentage of people that don't want the vaccine.
I'm sure European sports sees the same level of hesitancy as everywhere else.

Well that's odd.
Aren't there people YELLING AT THESE PLAYERS to get vaccinated? Day in and day out? For their OWN SAKE and the SAKE OF THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILIES AND LOVED ONES?
Why isn't the media in these player's faces, calling them ANTI-VAXXERS?
I don't understand.

I saw some exchanges on Twitter re: Eriksen the other day. Apparently some Italian news outlet reported Eriksen had the Pfizer vaccine on May 31st. Someone tweeted that and Danish media went ballistic, calling the remarks despicable.
The proof will be in the pudding. If he has a heart defect, he's done. He will never play professional soccer again. If a month from now, he's on the field, and the media is talking about a "medical miracle", then you have to wonder if it indeed was a bad vax reaction.
