Roe v Wade, Part II

High Court Hears Arguments in Biggest Abortion Case Since Roe. Here Are Key Takeaways.

https://www.dailysignal.com/2021/12/...TV0vvDOrZV4oiY

I post this thread because the arguments on both sides are at once fascinating and frightening! Some of the comments by the liberal justices are truly disturbing, which reveals the disturbed nature of their mind.

Like Justice Sotomayor's comment which compares a fetus to a brain-dead person.

Comparing a fetus to a Democrat is a low blow.

Here's is justice Airhead's exact words:

In perhaps the most shocking line of questioning, Justice Sonia Sotomayor tried to argue that it is impossible to know if an unborn child’s reaction to physical stimuli shows that he or she feels pain. Sotomayor claimed that with “about 40% of dead people who, if you touch their feet, the foot will recoil. There are spontaneous acts by dead-brain people. So, I don’t think that a response to, by a fetus, necessarily proves that there’s a sensation of pain or that there’s consciousness.”

So which is it: Dead people in the morgue for example, or brain dead people on life support in a hospital?

Also, since she's saying that it's "impossible to know", then why as a compassionate, caring liberal wouldn't she want to err on the side of caution instead of assuming best case scenario? What she is really saying is that we should, in or ignorance, assume best case scenario. She needs to explain to the court WHY!?

Moreover, how in the world could she even attempt to make such an inane analogy between a human fetus and either kind of dead person when a fetus has a heartbeat and is pumping blood at around the 21-day mark, and brainwave activity is detected around the 40-day mark? How is any organic entity that is dead have a heart circulating blood and brainwave activity?

She also needs to be asked is there any point in the mother's womb when she would consider a fetus to be a living being? Or does she think that life begins at the moment of birth?

Sure, why don't you defend Breyer's stupid argument? You think his argument was logical?

As a long-standing supporter of abortion I’m hoping that roe v wade is overturned. Society will pay the price for the additional unwanted and the increase in crime and drug addiction that will follow…but I’ll be long gone.

Why is it that MEN are the overwhelming force behind this, NOT women, to which it is far more germane?

Why is it that WOMEN, who make up a majority of the electorate, have failed in protecting their reproductive rights?

I think the fact that you attest that they are protecting a “right” is your answer. A great many women don’t believe it’s a right.

Sotomayer is a fool

Right. Which is why I could care less about it.

But you said earlier that you're a "long standing supporter" of abortion. So...which is it?
