Wife and I went to her school's open house last night. Most of the new kids that were present were obviously "not from here". They won't last, the admin has a short leash on discipline problems, and speaking English is mandatory. Her charter school is one of the few that won't cave in to kids that don't or won't speak the language.

Our chess program's stand drew a lot of attention from the south of the border kind. Many couldn't speak a word of English. Couldn't communicate with them. They'll be in another school by the end of the month
