Trifecta play !
Best way to play the tri... abc format...
A - contenders over 5 to one... usually 2 or 3 horses
B = all contenders Usually 5 horses
C= all horses over 15 to one. NO handicapping.
Todays plays... Pretty good results. I have hit tons of these in large fields where there is plenty of long shots with little form.
11/19 3:35 PM Laurel Park 7 $0.50 TRI 1, 2, 5 / 1, 2, 5, 10, 11 / 3, 7, 8, 9 $24.00 $0.00
11/19 3:34 PM Laurel Park 7 $0.50 TRI 1, 2, 5, 10 / 1, 2, 5, 10, 11 / 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 $48.00 $353.75
11/19 3:04 PM Churchill Downs 5 $2.00 TRI 2 / 1, 7, 8 / 1, 3, 4, 7, 8 $24.00 $229.40

The horse ML was 7/2 and and went off @ just about even money. My confusion is that your "A" horses need to be 5/1+ in order to be used in the ticket. Unless I am missing something in the definition (quite possible ) the should not have qualified for an "A" spot. Could you kindly explain this to me? I really like this idea of yours, just need some clarification. Thanks

Teddy, I don't know how much time you have, but I'll run this by you. If I gave you, say, two key horses in, about four to six races a day, would you want to try and test them? Basically, I'll use my systems to pick out races where I think the favorite won't win and I see a couple of horses that I think are live longshots. You can then use those two horses on top and use the same two horses with three other contenders for second and the 15-1 or over shots for third.

Probably an overly obvious question, but the contenders are picked via your own favorite contender picking process, right?
