This country is doomed

There is no hope for the future. When Facebook (whatever the hail that is) went down today, it was so traumatic that people called 911 to report the emergency.

Must be the same people who sued McDonalds because the cup of coffee they spilled on their lap didn't have the words "CAUTION - COFFEE MAY BE HOT" printed on the cup.

Tis pretty sad. People must not think that several (hundered?) million other Facebook users are out of luck was well, and that Facebook couldn't figure out that they were down on their own.

The LA County Sheriff's Office said that this "Sgt Brink" that tweeted about people calling 911 wasn't even on duty when this happened, and they have no record of any Facebook calls. The Sheriff's Office is now investigating if he violated dept. policy.

"Dim's Logic" can be breath taking. I just hope they don't vote but you can be assured some of their names will.

Anyone using the 911 service to report Facebook should be treated like anyone else making a fake or prank use of it.
Perhaps a stiff fine or jail time would cure the stupidity.

That site being down isn't even news, let alone an emergency.

You would be surprised the calls 911 takes

I personally took

"I want the Dominos Pizza manager arrested because my pizza isn't done".

"I want the Pizza Hut Hut guy arrested because he won't price match my McDonalds coupons"

And my all time Fav:

"Is there any way you can send a cop to my apartment to test this Marihuana I just bought? I think the Motherf$&@er ripped me off"

If the story is indeed true, would guess that 90% of the callers were under 30, and either vote Democratic or else not at all. Heaven help us if these Millennials are our future leaders. For an ongoing example of the dumbing down of Americans in general and young ones in particular, take a look at "Watters World" on O'Reillys program.
