the backward Z

Does anyone know the backward Z angle? If so will you reveal it. I have a general idea, but I can remember the specifics.

I remember an angle with a similar name from 25 yrs ago

involved position and lengths back at all points of call

a z horse was on that started midpack, dropped back at next call
made a move to get closer to lead, and then dropped back in stretch

it was supposed to be a hidden workout in the race that hides improving form
horses that won after this (not many) usually paid very well
