Wrong house, wrong family.
Maybe drinking involved.
Not sure I would want to be the only black family in a white neighborhood in SOME communities though.
When I lived in a small town in NY the security guard where I worked often gave me a ride home and escorted me up front stairs of my building to the door. This wasn't a redneck town or anything. My friend from work was black. Imagine my surprise when I was literally acosted one day, in broad daylight, by a white neighbor guy, who started asking me if I was "dating" my friend (like it was any of his business) and then lambasting me (and yelling!) with a screed about how wrong that would be.
I reported him to the police cuz I don't feel anyone should say stuff like that to me and he was yelling, too and I was only 26 years old and that scared me.
And afterwards I sure DID feel a lot safer with somebody walking me to my door.
My friend, by the way, later became a U.S. Marshall.  Good guy he was. And a gentleman.

Just heard on Fox that Ahmaud Arbery was shot prior to his attack on the younger McMichael. If that is true, 1st degree murder is on the table, they can kiss the baby.

And a question that needs to be answered - why did the family NOT go to someone for help? there are many, many organizations out there that would jump at the chance for a case like this....why one did?
Looks to me like Murder 2, at least, but, as I said, wait until the whole story is known - we already know so much more in 3 days than we did......It's called the Justice System. You are outraged it took so long, but now it in motion, so let it play out.
Best to go by the book and then you avoid preconceived anger by one side or the other.

They were doing the right thing, just wrong house. Hopefully they smooth it out. If its my daughter I'm doing the same thing.
