I'm not seeing any problem in IE or FF with clicking and saving.
However, just in case, I'll check the html code for the link and fix it if necessary.
Meanwhile, if the right-click, save-as is working, the code can be downloaded that way.

Thanks for doing that. I appreciate your time and effort. The formatting of the age/sex category could use a face lift, but it's no big deal as is. Its a little too wide a category to read. I would change the formatting like so. Either to the default 3 letter designation Bris uses or:
"3 yo up Fillies and Mares" to "3^F"
"3 yo up No Sex Restrictions" to "3^"
"3/4/5 yo only No Sex Restrictions" to "3^"
"4 yo up Fillies and Mares" to "4^F"
"4 yo up No Sex Restrictions" to "4^"
"2 yo only Fillies" to "2F"
"3 yo only Fillies" to "3F"
"3 yo only No Sex Restrictions" to "3YO"
"2 yo only No Sex Restrictions" to "2YO"
And so forth. I think it would make it easier and quicker to read, but again no big deal as is.

I'll give your idea some thought, Light.
Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by "it is too wide a category to read?
And thanks for the critique which in and of itself tells me the program ran successfully.

It is the widest column on the spreadsheet right now. It's quicker to read "3^". There's practically no thought required. Reading "3 yo up No Sex Restrictions" takes more energy especially when looking at hundreds of entries.

OK -- understand.
I'll think about this in terms of the masses and see what I can come up with,
Thanks Light

Duke
I'd like to see added in your task
program the name name of the winning horse either before or after
the restriction part.
I don't think its to wide and even if the horses name
was included it would be fine for my use..I run it every
mos to look for big races and high track variant days
currently i have to go to the charts to look up
the winner so i can put it in my finds in my stable male.
I also jot the class of the race mostly looking
for cheaper races and maidens .Thanks
for the program it works great!!! Mabred

mabred -- I'm not following what you mean by name of winning horse.
Easy task crunches the numbers of hundreds and even thousands or tens of thousands of races (depending on how many files you have in your input folder). The program has no intent of targeting one race over another nor targeting a winner.
Could you expand your thoughts on this or provide an example?
Thanks

It sounds like you are using the old dos command-line version. If you are, you should download the GUI version that I made available several months ago.
It is located here ...
http://myweb.cableone.net/skunkcreekcrew/freeware.html
Install it like any other windows program by double-clicking the executable and following the instructions ... then ...
1) place you drf/eg/mcp files in the c:\easytask\datafiles folder
2) enter the aging day (how many days you want to go back -- 60 for 2 months, 90 for 3 months and so on)
3) indicate whether you want the optional sex data by checking (or unchecking) that button
4) click the ' create task reports' button.
5) it will create 3 files, all of which reside in c:\easytask\reports and identified by a creation-date in the file names.
two of the reports have .csv extensions and you should be able to have them automatically open in excel (or open office) by double-clicking (then auto format the file after it opens -- they have headers for that purpose)
This program has been wrung out pretty good so if you follow these steps, everything should work just fine. Let me know if you find otherwise.
Duke

That's a good start ...
Now open a fie manager, navigate to where the 3 files are and double-click on either of the two files that end with .csv -- they should automatically open in excel
or
open excel then go to the dialog that allows you to open a file, navigate to where the 3 files are and choose either of the .csv files. The open file dialog is in different places depending on which version of excel you have installed.

AQU 8 20120404 D 1760 71.64 96.81 21 4 yo up No Sex Restrictio" SAGINAW"
Duke here a a sample line from my csv out put I hope I'm reading it correctly
it's the 8th race 4/4 dirt the horse ran 71.64 and finished 96.81
on a 21 track variant 4 yr old up !! The winner of that race was saginaw
I'd like to see his name after the no sex restriction like above
:23 3, :46 4, 1:11 3, 1:36 4 (:23.76, :46.96, 1:11.64, 1:36.81)

OK -- now I understand, you want it in the RAW file.
That can be done -- I'll work that into the program and post a note here when the update is available.
