i never see this guy put out a bad horse. he takes his time and when you see his horses on the race track they all look and act great. not only that, he improves horses that he puts his hands on. its just great to watch a guy so dedicated to the horses do his thing.

He's definitely top notch.....one of the best in the west

Ellis is a good horseman, he knows the game pretty well and he doesn't take on too many horses which gives him a chance to really work and spot his horses in the right races at the right time. He's good at entering, but you're right, most of his runners look nice on the track, professional, nice coats and ready to go. Strong trainer, hard to knock anything he does.

Ditto here. He's not a bad handicapper either when I saw him on TVG.
