Texas was lucky

A kick out of bounds, a horse collar penalty, pass interference that gave them a touchdown, bad pass interference call to keep drive alive on an uncatchable ball, official game clock runs out but replay gives them one extra second............Texas may beat Alabama and be declared National Champion and may not even be the best team in their own state.

TCU is just as good or better than anyone in the country and will not get a chance to prove it.

If GREAT defense is being lucky, you're right. We held NU to 5 first downs. FIVE first downs.

We held NU to 39 passing yards. I've never heard of that happening in D1 football. Muschamp has had this team play awesome D in 12 of the 13 games.

I'll respectfully disagree that Tcu is the better team. What was the last 2 opponents they beat? Wyoming and New Mexico......we put Wyoming on our schedule and people (Tcu fans especially) complain about us having easy teams for out of conf foes....Yet TCU plays those types week after week.

Bring on Bama. If they play like they did vs Ole Miss or Auburn, we kick their ass....If they play like they did vs Fla, they finally kick our ass. It'll be fun either way.

Oh....and if you want to go off on officiating, be sure to mention the calling Goodwin down at our own 1 yd line when he never had possession. That was the most critical error anyone in the bldg made all nite long-- and it was a ref doing the f'ing up. That was NU's only hope at that juncture, they caught a break.

What happened to the praise of TCU, and the days of Steve Judy? Looks like your Opinion changed after the UT win.

The Texas defense is good, no doubt, but lets not get carried away. Nebraska is horrible on offense and has been all year.

They have been good most of the year. But I wouldn't judge anything by Nebraska. They couldn't score against Iowa State....Iowa State in Lincoln no less.

Of course, Texas hasn't played anyone very good this season to be honest. The teams that looked good going in, OU and OSU, didn't really pan out to be anything special with tons of injuries. TCU beat better teams this season in my opinion. The Big 12 was very weak this year.

Texas suxas. I think McCoy killed any chance at a Heisman last night. Too bad TCU couldn't have made it to the championship game. WHen will the sport wake up and settle things on the field? Until they do, its hard to take them seriously.

That is exactly how I feel. The individual games can be fun, but in the end, nothing is settled. Five undefeated teams this year and three don't get a chance. It makes no sense at all.

This year has to be the worst nightmare of the BCS committee. I wonder how they'll tweak the ratings now?

They talk about how all the debate is great for the sport. But look at the NCAA tournament. That's far bigger than anything in the BCS. And I would argue that football is more "America's sport" than basketball. If they did have a 16 team tournament, it would be huge. They would get far more casual fans than they do now. But the greedy conference presidents of the big conferences don't want anything to change.

Yes, that's right. TEXAS sux. That's why UT is 25-1 the last 2 years and beat three top 5 teams during that time. The lone loss was a last play miracle on the road vs a good team.

Ask Jesus Tebow if he'd have taken a one point win yesterday.

And, my opinion of the froggies hasn't changed. They deserve a shot to be in a playoff but they're not as good as TEXAS nor do they match up vs us. The system has to change to a playoff

In college football, only this year matters. Of course they don't suck, but they haven't beaten anyone this year either. They certainly didn't beat any top 5s this year.

Well , we will know in a month if Texas sucks. I have watch Bama a few times this year. I am not so sure that they are as good as they look on paper. Texas's offense is pretty good, after all, they didn't give up TD to the Nebr defense.

cj,

I agree with the fact we haven't played a true MNC contender, but neither has TCU or Cincy (who many bcs experts are now saying have a good shot at passing TCU). But TEXAS has beaten everyone on our schedule, a lot were blowouts that were impressive.

What I find funny is that we've been ranked ahead of TCU all yr now all of a sudden people are thinking TCU is suddenly better than us. TCU's last 2 wins were vs conf teams that couldn't beat Nebraska 2 times out of 10.

TCU would have a problem covering our offensive scheme. Doesn't take a genius to figure it out. The last 2 yrs we've run 0u's offense out of necessity (all 3 TE's were hurt goin into the 0u game in 2008), teams with 11 quality athletes that are well coached on the field at all times can turn the 5 yd routes into 5 yd gains....0u blew out TCU last yr b/c the TCU LB's didn't know how to cover (too shallow of drops, then too deep, making it easy for Sam). That was their one shot at a legit top 5 yeam and they failed miserably.

I don't see where 2009 TCU is better in that regard. We'd bend them over this year.

Nope, and yet they get credit like they did because the Big 12 was good last year. One thing we know won't happen, Mack Brown won't outcoach anyone, especially Sabin.
