No opinion on the game, but PIT -6 and TEN +7 works for me.

It's fun to watch, but too hard to make money.

This is the 4th year that I've been posting my NFL Best Bets on my website. Even with a losing year last year, my overall record is 80 wins and 62 losses against the spread. To me the key is spot plays, impossible to win picking every game, and looking for strengths against weakness (for instance, a good passing team against a bad pass defense).

I've had good years and I've had bad. This one has been really bad. Even had I done super well every year I'd still say the biggest part is luck.

There's a certain amount of luck in any form of gambling, but there are good sports handicappers just like there are good horse handicappers, and there certainly are professional sports bettors, and they don't rely on luck. Sure, sometimes the team you bet is not going to play well, but those things even out in the long run. Just like when you bet a horse and the horse has an off day.

Yeah, yeah...well, animals are more predictable than humans.
I rest my case.

Yea. He shouldn't be starting @ QB for a team with playoff hopes, and they made him into a star.

I actually like that read-option running game stuff as an alternative for teams who can't land a 'real' QB.

But you have to be honest when you run a gimmick or when you run something unorthodox.

You can't run a gimmick and then run to "Madison Avenue".

The Skins were doing some neat stuff with RGIII, but they pretended like he was some star. And they made him carry the load and run for 800 yards in his one good year, and they used his face to sell season tickets and cable TV, and sponsors jumped in as well.

Had they run the same shit they ran with RGIII in 2012, only using something like a 3-headed monster of RGIII and Pryor and Tebow... Used them hard, don't have any care in the world if they get banged up, and invest in them like backup QBs/RBs ... and maybe the Skins could have become a consistent Wild Card type of team that is somewhat interesting to watch.
