Kentucky-based ISP blocking access to Pinnacle horse wagering menu

Here I am in a Fairfield Inn in Frankfort, KY on my way to the BC at Churchill tomorrow and I've got my laptop cranked up using the hotel's wireless internet service, TVG is on the cable TV and I'm ready to bet some hosses at CD and HOL. I log into Youbet and Pinnacle. Get my tracks up on the Youbet board. Go over to Pinnacle and click on North American Tracks. Oops: up comes the following message

"tinyproxy 1.6.0
The page you requested was unavailable. The error code is listed below. In addition, the HTML file which has been configured as the page to be displayed when an error of this type was unavailable, with the error code 14 (Bad address). Please contact your administrator.
Bad Request"

Other betting menus at Pinnacle can be accessed with no problem.

I send them an email with the message text.

They come back and tell me to try a test page for which they provide the URL. If I can access the test page then I have a Java problem. If I can't then it is an ISP or firewall problem.

I can't access the test page.

Bummer.

I'll try Pinnacle when I get to Louisville tomorrow and report the results.

Pinnacle access for North American Tracks is no problem.

That's common for hotel access. They do block some gambling sites. This may not be an option for you right now, but if you can leave your home computer running and then use the hotel internet to remote control your home computer with Remote Desktop or GoToMyPc or the like, then:

A) You can access anything you want.

B) Security in general is a lot better especially if you are using wireless at the hotel.

I've probably used laptop in 20 different hotels/motels to bet horses over the past 2+ years since having a Pinnacle account. First time I've encountered this. The fact that I was able to access the site's sports-betting menus makes me believe that it has to do with horse-racing/Kentucky and not a more general block.

I don't think a proxy will work if your IP is blocking access to a particular web address. A proxy will only hide or disguise your IP address, but, not from your IP provider.
