And You Think This Board Gets Rough Sometimes

From a poker forum...

Tighter knots, higher voltage, more pills or a less ventilated garage are my suggestions.

Poker is a tough game mentally when having to deal with loudmouth a-holes who berate every move you make. Nice to have the online option to turn off the chat. More often than not I put things into silent mode when I am playing a tournament online.

Tough to ignore when it's live, that's when the music/headphones are very, very nice to have on hand.

It is curious to me how they can have tourneys worth millions of dollars and TV cameras all around the players.

NOT saying people are larcenous, but if I have a set of headphones attached to a simple MP3 player, I can pick up FM frequencies.

IF someone I know at the TV production is IN on it, they can broadcast the cards on the FM frequency I am listening to. What is to stop someone in the production truck from splicing over the actual commentary going on?

Most people will simply read this and discount it. Of course, they are the same people who would not believe you could alter your pick six ticket on the Breeders Cup and make a million dollars. ;-)

What's to stop?

Strip searches or knowing how to look in an ear.
I just assume with all the cash, casino PR, network reps at stake they have to have everything firured out. If not, it would be all over the major media if anyone cheats. Not like racing where it would not even be mentioned.
If I wanted to cheat with any kind of communication device I would put it up my nose; for real.

Don't they add the commentary after the fact, in a studio somewhere? Not that that will prevent anyone in the production truck from getting in on the game if they were so inclined (although I can't see how they could easily communicate what was going on in the hand without others seeing and/or hearing).
