Aqueduct Turf ???

Since they came "back" to Aquduct, I'm seeing about distances for 1m and 1m16 turf races, but nt all 1m16 races.

My db going back ti 2017 Fall, when they first started the Outer Turf, I have no about distances showing.

Did they make a change in the last 3 days of racing? And why would run both 1m16 and *1m16 races?

Yes, these are new. I don't know why they can't stick to races they can actually time. The new thing is to call them "about" when they are timed with a different rail setting than where the actual rail is set.

Example, rail is at 36 feet but there are no beams set up for that distance, so they time it using the 27 foot rail, or the closest available. The truth is they aren't really "about" distances. They are the actual listed distance but the timing is "about."

They way horse racing treats timing and measuring distance, you'd think it was 1622 instead of 2022.

Wow, that was fast!

I wondered if it was a DRF error because they ran a m16 and a *m16 on the same with TR reported as 32 feet,

I thought we were in the 21st century, silly me!

Thanks, CJ
