This thread has been open for almost five hours now and so far only three of the resident crackpots have commented. Time to inject a little sanity.

First of all, child sex trafficking is a terrible thing and should never be tolerated. The only thing that stories like this do is to take focus off the problem. They "found" a camp which was probably an abandoned homeless camp and decided that it was the center of a pedophilia ring because it happened to include a cave in which an adult could not stand up straight. Therefore it must have been used to restrain children. Or, maybe they kept dressers and crates in there to keep them out of the elements. Which is just what the story said.


Then we have Craig Sawyer, a former marine sniper, Seal Team six member and conspiracy theorist who blames two groups for harassing his anti pedophilia organizations. It is very unclear how many such groups he is involved with. Way too many for a normal person. The word scam comes to mind. But I digress.


The two groups which are harassing Sawyer (and aiding and abetting pedophiles)? Muslims and Democrats; the same two groups most hated by conservatives and conspiracy theorists. There I go; being redundant again.


There is more than enough real child sex trafficking to combat. Stuff like this and Comet Pizza just takes away resources that could be better used elsewhere. Maybe that is the whole point.

News 4 Tucson asked to see the evidence. We were told it's being stored in a private area and that the evidence has not been turned over to police.
