Lentenor in FL Derby

http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/rac...ida-Derby.aspx

I think this is great...Matz said he deserves a shot...he's been getting better each race and training very well...went in 1:00 the other morning...Alan Garcia aboard. Matz said he's slow to mature, but he's getting there...he must finish at least 2nd in the FL Derby...who knows...he's capable of pulling it off.
At any rate, his being entered sure adds more fun and anticipation...at least for me it does.

I think it's a terrible idea.

Put him in a race with....let's see........ Bach and Backtalk, and see what happens in one like that first.

Well I'm rooting for him, eastie, I mean, I like this horse.

I just don't see enough on his resume to give me confidence in him yet. late-developers always give me pause because I can't quite assess them. I do believe in Matz, so I'll be looking for him at th finish line, but I just have my doubts.

Like Winter T...I beleive in Matz...and I would hope the Ramsey's would not talk him into doing something stupid with Lentenor...so far, of the full siblings to Barbaro, this one seems the most talented...and IMO, even if he runs a great race, even wins the thing, there is no gaurentee that Matz will run in the Derby...IMO, he'll do it only if he's certain the horse would run well...he doesn't have much of a resume, Winter...but seems 'these days', a horse doesn't need that to run in the Derby...time will tell, but it will be great fun and very interesting to see how Lentenor does in this one.
