Not so Subtle
Congratulations to PA lister Ernie Dahlman, who's SUBTLE just speedbashed a group of turf sprinters for a second score at the meeting. Homebred, too.
Tried to beat her with JITNEY, but second best.

I thought she might be coming back to quick, but she got entered on a day where the temp rails were finally down, i think that helped her. Speed is always dangerous. Congrats to Ernie and the connections.

It was the last NY bred nw2 in the book at Saratoga where the grass sprints are 5 1/2f. Then or never. Thanks to all for the congrats.

After she beat me in the Monmouth race, I saw the light and scored with her on both spa wins. Congrads Ernie. This was certainly more thrilling than taking down the YR twin double pool in '64 wasn't it!

Or weighting exacta wheels on figure horses at YR in the 80's when you were 75% of the handle.

By the way, if you're into anagrams, I just noticed that the double was Bustle and Subtle!

As a home bred, the victories must be twice as sweet.
Breeder's Cup bound perhaps?
