2 Year Old Maiden Picks
A Majority of handicappers don't like 2 year old maiden races. For me they are my favorite races by far. High priced mdns are usually way over bet. No 1st time starter at low odds (under 5/2) will ever get my money. Early speed usually rules in these races. Knowing the best sprint sire in each race is very important. Deciphering the works and patterns plays into it also. So don't hesitate, post your 2 year old mdn picks here.

race 5 NY bred 2yo colts
in the spirit of saratoga, the 5 horse storm hope is a dead bang runner, and if my guess is right, and this one happens to be fairly educated, the 8 horse, teapot dome should be flying late. i might be wrong but the 1+2 seeem to be coming out of a fairly weak race. of course if you want to look at this another way, the stallion for the 5 horse stands at mcmahon's of saratoga, while mr.greely is in kentucky somewhere!
plus bella ransom was as big a runner as i have ever seen. she broke her maiden coming from dead last and won by over 10 lengths, then she won her 1x in an open allowance by 20 lengths! barry swartz wound up with the horse and has been breeding her ever since.

Saratoga race 2)..Cognito a 700k purchase failed at 3-1 in 1st start and is bet down again..currently 9/5..going against..
4, 5 to win....Flying Private very fast out of gate in last. Shows an excellent 5
...................in the mud. Gone astray shows an excellent work tab.

I think I got Lovely Olivia out of that cluster f_ _ k...lol..this is a 2 year old mdn thread..I don't believe that race qualifies.
