The winning time of 1:33:57 in a race where all but the last place straggler finished within 5 lengths 1st place to 7th place in an N2L claimer would result in a potentially significant key race.
If it's correct, we could be looking at 4 or 5 of these horses running a sub 23:00 second quarter of a mile turf race that would be expected to disintegrate under normal conditions, but instead kept together.
Looks very, very suspicious.
Thanks in advance to anybody that has the skills/equipment/time to review this timing and report a corrected timing for other interested board members. If it's correct, sorry for wasting your time.

I'll give it a shot in the morning. Fractions are tougher than final time, and with temp rails up (30 feet for this one) even tougher. Problem is the biggest issues occur when temp rails are up.

Trakus malfunctioned twice today at Santa Anita and both of those races were hand timed.

Trakus will be a great boom for racing...once they get it out of beta testing.

How anyone could have decided to use them as the official timers is beyond me. They are horrible.
May I ask which two races? There is no mention in the charts.
I found races 1, 6, and 7 have no data on the Trakus site. Races 1 and 7 are a total clusterf#%k. Race 6 (the G1) matches on times from the video.

Race 1 and race 7, I can't remember the listed fractions of race 1 on the live feed, but race 7 was 26.53 50.18 102.88 116.53

No Trakus for some races at Belmont yesterday, including the G1 JCGC.

Somehow Trakus had an even worse day at Santa Anita today than it did yesterday. Five of the nine races are blank on the Trakus site. Poor cratos must be beside himself.
They only missed two races at Belmont today. Clearly they have an east coast bias.

Did some video work in the Santa Anita Sprint Championship. It appears to me that all the fractions and final times are about 0.50 seconds too fast.
Attached are two images, the first a baseline I use for proper timing of 6f races. When I backed up the video from the finish line by the final time, you can see the horses are pretty much right at the 6f pole. That is where they should be.
The second image is the race Saturday, a G1 race with Breeder's Cup implications. Pretty clearly they are well past the point as in the first image. The difference doesn't look like a lot visually, but it makes a big difference in a 6f horse race.

like I think 15 pace points or so in a 6f race, so a wee bit.
I hate to put more work on Timeform but is this a case were you guys can correct the issues at SA this weekend with Video or is a it case where no figures should be posted?

I'll do the best I can and make figures, but it will be with the 't' notation for questionable timing. Seems like about 20% of races these days.

Trakus is clearly much closer to reality on that one, 1:12.16 I think it was.
