CONTEST RULES
1. Free Entry Contest
2. $200 mythical Bankroll per playable day
3. Players may choose only one Early Pick 4 or Late Pick 4
4. Playable days are Saturdays; Sundays & Holidays during the Aqueduct Inner Track meet.
5. There are no make-up dates for cancelled races.
6. Regarding Early scratches, If a horse is on the early scratches from the NYRA website which are posted around 11:00AM, he does NOT go to the post time favorite anymore. Only horses that are considered late scratches do you get the PT favorite.
7. Only horses considered late scratches will be substituted with the races Post Time Favorite.
8. A separate thread will be created for each official contest date.
9. Each ticket must be posted horizontally 1 ticket per line or they may not be scored. (See Posting Ticket sample)
10. Minimum wager denomination will be $1.00
11. All selections must be posted 1 full minute before the DRF official off time.
12. If a player over-bets, the wagers will be adjusted, first by reducing the bet denomination of the last posted ticket, or removing the ticket entirely, until the allowable total of $200 or less is in play.
13. Players are responsible for "self-reporting" their winning tickets. Only tickets posted as winners with $ total will be added to the players accumulated Bankroll.
14. The Contest winner will be the player with the largest accumulated Bankroll at the end of the meet.
15. PaceAdvantage.com Player of the Year points will be rewarded based on each players placing and the number of participants in the contest.

Please post your tickets horizontally as per sample below:
LATE PICK 4
$1.00 Pick 4: 2,4,7 // 3,5,8 // 1,3,7,8,10 // 2,4,6,8 ($180.00)
$5.00 Pick 4: 2 // 3,5 // 10 // 4,8 ($20.00)
Total = $200.00
Be sure to post " Early" or Late" Pick 4 -- you may only play one or the other.
Separate each race using // which makes the numbers easy to read.
A $ total for each ticket is helpful for catching errors.
A Total Wager amount would also be helpful.
You may use the icons if you wish -- ie.

Correct, $200 max per day and you only get to play 1 Pick 4 -- either the Early or Late, not both.
Good luck,
Trotter

No, just start posting when the daily thread is opened. The December 3rd thread has been opened for Day 1 Selections.
If you plan on playing in the P.A.I.H.L. which is the next contest, you do have to pre-register for that one.

BB,
I'm pretty sure he means that when you have a winning PK4 on any given day, he encourages contestants to report their returns so he can cross check.
I know that he checks all the entries, but it makes it easier if people report - just in case he does miss a winner.
Good luck!

Think of it as having to take your winning ticket back to the window
so that you can get your money.
If you don't take your ticket to the window
and your ticket never gets cashed
the track doesn't really care.
Originally I was going to post that you had 24 hours to post
but then I knew someone would miss the timeline
and all hell would break loose if I made an exception
or if I was a hard ass about it.
So, I'm not making any "written in stone" rules
but I only want to have to worry about tabulating winning tickets.
I hope that makes sense.

Scratches
How are entries treated?
Are they treated just like at the track, where selecting one gets both, and if one is a late scratch, you are still obligated to take the other, except when both are scratched, in which case you get the Post Time Favorite?

Entries are treated just like at the track. You get both. If one scratches you still have the other half. Both scratch you go to the PTF.
I'll state right now that I'm not an NYRA expert and I've never scored this contest before, so I can only do the best I can. If someone who is very familiar with NYRA wagering is able to step up with any necessary rules clarifications, now would be the time.
My main concern at this point is how to handle Scratches correctly. Again, if anyone with expertise is able to run through the rules as posted and advise if we have it covered properly it would greatly appreciated.
