Oh I totally do not think PA forums should be protected.

In fact, get rid of 230 ASAP...it's the only thing keeping this place up and running.

You can erase all contacts and references with a few keystrokes, right? We might all be counting on you.

The incoherent ramblings of a no-nothing. Tag it appropriately.

Good for you, NTG

I started the process of deleting my FB account yesterday. I say process because apparently you can't just kill it with a mouse click, but they give you a cooling off period while they copy your whole history into Forever Land, I guess.

Anyway, I got talked into it in the first place 8-9 years ago, and I got to the point where I kept looking at it as a portal into the descent of otherwise normal people into mean, vile people with way too much confidence in their misguided views of the world. (Kind of like whten Just Ralph would wade into Democratic Underground to come back with a full report ) I will kind of miss that in an odd way, but not so much as to continue being a serf to Facebook.

Just be consistent.

I had to give up Dem Underground. After Trump was elected and their site got hacked and taken down for almost a month, they really went nuts.

I have a Facebook account. I keep in touch with my siblings and a few old friends. But if you read or buy anything in Facebook ads etc.......you are crazy. It’s all crap

Is Facebook really necessary for that? Personally, I use my phone, e-mails and most importantly, face-to-face visits, when possible.

It’s very convenient for exchanging pics etc. My sister has colon cancer and was just declared cancer free after surgery. The surgery was quite dramatic and her life will never be the same. She has 400 friends on Facebook and she enjoys it. It works for us, and my brother.

It’s a good platform for what we do.

I also use Facebook to be involved in my dog rescue groups.

My latest foster child doesn’t mind.....and it works well for posting pics and such of dogs in trouble. ......
