Many many moons ago I told the Boxcar to have nothing to do with you, that it was the very few keeping you around. Myself I do not bet people, and have never done so my whole adult life. But when I bet horses it is strictly parimutuel wagering.

By the criteria you list any calamitous event is a god: hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanoes. Some primitive peoples have done just that but modern, educated people do not. But then your education level has not been established.

Better pull your head out of the sand. Covid isn't controlling any aspect or part of reality? Really? 
And, yes, covid has more than "natural attributes", as mere mortals (of the "expert class", of course) have unwittingly attributed intelligence to this virus, as explained previously in another thread.
And the "expert class" tells us that we should live in fear of covid -- that the fear of covid should in fact control our life and all decisions we make. In that sense covid is a god.
So...bow down to covid in abject fear because I know you're scared to death of it. Just let it control you and take over your life like the good little blind sheeple you are. Wear a triple-layered mask, get all the upcoming vaccines and then crawl under your rock to hide which is the best form of social distancing there is.
