Grand National

The annual stampede is today at Aintree - post time 11:15am Central time.

39 runners (one scratched from a field of 40) over 30 hedges at just over 34 furlongs (~4m1/4).
Who bets this thing?

You beat me to posting this so thank you for not letting me duplicate this

I don't bet it but I do handicap the race using the Racing Post and some other websites

Here are my picks for this year's Randox Grand National
The odds are the US odds, not UK's SP odds

Corach Rambler (IRE) 7-1
Le Milos 15-1
Noble Yeats (IRE) 8-1
Back On The Leash 20-1

If anyone is looking for the racecard/program for today's race the link is below

Just for kicks, I'll pick the Gaillard Du Mesnil.

Consistent type has run well at 3m and beyond in Gr1-2 company.
Who knows if he can handle this huge field in his first try (he's only 7yrs old) in this race.

Also like the #28, #26 and #15...

Mythical play:

Ex 13-15-26 w 13-15-26-28
Win 13

My three against the field are:

(all present odds in the UK)

Delta Work 11/1
Galvin 22/1
Vanillier 22/1

Most bookmakers here are paying 6 places (a couple 7) for each way bets instead of the official 4. Most are also offering best odds guaranteed which means if starting price is better than the price you take they will pay you the higher price.

I also think the 16/1 presently being offered about last years winner Noble Yeats is decent value although only five horses have won it more than once since it was first run in 1839.

What website was this?

I only got this popup when I clicked on the link

Even when searching DerbyTrailcom it blocked me from clicking on it

Anybody have a link to a video of a horse race with 40 horses in it? That is insane.

even more insane, the race is now delayed indefinitely due to protests

anti-racing advocates and other issue oriented fanatics (on either side) are their own worst enemy all too often

stupid, infuriating

Well I got extremely lucky that Corach Rambler ran a big race and managed to keep on well through the entire race. I think the horse went off at 8-1 9-1.

I'd love to read it
