8/26 R7 at Saratoga

Fans of 'puzzle' races might get some fun out of this one. 5.5 F stakes sprint on the grass, big field (before scratches), and conflicting stat readouts.
Could be a doozy! Check it out. Lots of different ways you could go in this one.

Maven beat the Jack and Noah in their last. Can throw that race because the was a step slow out of the gate and rushed to the lead. The race before the got the best of the .

The top two will be tough to run down. But there is a chance of a duel and getting a good price with the Island Commish or the Flap Jack. Prefer the since the only has one quality win.

The ran at Keeneland last out not against the looks freakishly fast and talented but they are going to go fast early. Interesting race. I like but price will probably be too short, one of the inside closers would probably be my value play, or or 1.

The 9 was freakishly fast the 8 was freakishly mediocre. When do Saratoga and Del Mar end?

To echo Jay's point, I think this race was over as soon as the busted out of the gate rather than doing so a step slow and having to work extra hard to get to the lead like he did in last race.

I found the scratches (7,10,11) to be troubling. Ruined some potential super plays I had lined out.
In the end I settled on a top 4 of 8,9.3.5 as my top 4. Also had the 6 in fourth with the 5. Played a 3H EXB [8,9,3] which produced an ex payout of 111.50. I had tossed the 1, which was the prime power top choice, in favor of the 5. The 5 looked great into stretch, but, like the 2, faded out of the money late. Anyway, the 1 horse ended my luck. Because it was such a high pressure race I worried the eight might fade just like his numbers said he would. He did. Trouble is I selected the 2 (Sisterson entry) as my race shape hedge win play at 12-1. RESULT:9/3/1/6.
I was disappointed with the overall result, but the nice ex helped me get over it.
