Bennie, did you notice that I changed the parameters of the contest to be a 3 Race Parlay for WIN (instead of a Show Parlay)...Good Luck and Have Fun...!
PS... Great idea about including the alternate in case of a scratch...

Not sure if I should start a new thread, but I am planning on going out to Oaklawn this April for the Arkansas Derby and my birthday that week.
I've read that box seats only go on sale on race day. Is there any chance I can get box seats for Ark Derby day? I'm going to be driving from the midwest and still need more time to save money for the hotel and other plans out there. How far in advance should I be booking the hotel so I'm reasonably close to the track?
If you have any other recommendations or advice about visiting Oaklawn I would appreciate that as well. Thanks!

most of better lodges are probably already reserved. you can go online and check the hampton and embasy suites for that weekend. you may end up staying on the west side of little rock, about 40 miles from oaklawn..no clue on seating. a friend have a box and i am lucky enough to use it anytime..good luck...

Arlington Hotel and Park Hotels are downtown-Arlington is probably sold out. Best Western is literally right across the street from the track. I usually stay in little Rock and drive over. Arkansas Derby day would probably be better off staying in Hot Springs-I would book now.

Once again I must put up my picks in advance and to be honest I would probably not bet any of these races with real money but since this is just for fun here they are:
2nd -
6th -
9th -
the only one that would interest me is possibly the 6th race as the horse might turn out to be the lone speed and take these wire to wire.
