Canada-Style "Health Care"

We better hope and pray that their brand of health care doesn't trickle down to us!

Canada Is Euthanizing Its Sick and Poor. Welcome to World of Government Health Care.

https://www.dailysignal.com/2022/08/...t-health-care/

And what really puzzles me is that I thought socialism was the cure for poverty!? Isn't socialism supposed to level the economic playing field to make life fair and make everyone equal and be treated with equity? Apparently, though, that isn't working out so swell for our northern neighbor. How can there be any poverty-stricken people up in Frozen Tundra Land?

Canada...another failed socialist utopia...

Complete and utter Bull......

Ih ave heard this BS from U.S. sources for decades and having WORKED in the Canadian Health care system for over 35 years, I can tell you first hand clons make up crap like this all the time.

consider the source and there's you answer: The Daily Signal is a conservative American political media news website founded in June 2014. The publication focuses on politics, policy, and culture and offers political commentary from a conservative perspective. It is published by conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation.

Medical assistance in dying
Medical assistance in dying is now an available option. Eligible patients can have a medical professional administer or prescribe a substance that will bring about their death.

So, you're saying assisted suicide (a/k/a euthanasia) in Canada is non-existent?

No surprises with this list of states who just love to death the Death Culture.

no....It is a logical and necessary option. You think that is something new? In days of old, a terminally ill patient might have "unexpedtedly" get a bit too much morphine and slip away...IT is as old as the hills.

It just did not have a label then.

So...why did you initially write "Complete and utter Bull"? So now you're saying Canadian "health care" industry is doing the right thing?

P.S. It's never "logical OR necessary" for man to play God. And we won't even talk about the consequences of such madness.

Just from reading the Wikipedia article on Euthanasia in Canada, it seems the Daily Signal got a lot wrong in its article. Surprise Surprise. No assisted suicide can take place except upon written request by the patient. The request has to be witnessed by someone who knows the patient, but would not benefit from the patient’s death. Two independent medical professionals have to certify the patient is seriously and irredeemably ill and that he/she understands the consequences of his decision. Unless the patient’s death is reasonably foreseeable, there must be a 90 day waiting period. The patient can revoke the request at any time for any reason. And they must be continuously informed of this.

The major point to the Daily Signal article is that euthanasia is being aggressively pushed on people. (Ever heard of "coercion"?) Of course, the government will cover it's sorry butt and get people to sign a piece of paper. That's a foregone conclusion.

But why are health authorities also pushing this on poor people? Is this Canada's way of leveling the economic playing field? I mean....it is an efficient way of keeping the welfare costs down, right? Just convince the poor people that sewer rats are worth far more than they are and get them feeling all depressed about themselves so that they'll sign off on getting a free one-way ticket to the graveyard.

Such socialist compassion...

No as much compassion as to force young teens to have babies after being raped by a family member or a stranger
