now we are at the point where things could get ugly...right at the Jan 24 lows...

I don't see this drop stopping at this point...so...I think it's going lower...

I'd like to say that some kind of bounce is due, but immediate term do we even know if Russia/ Ukraine is at war? Like has the war begun or not? I feel like the last two days has been the market digesting that situation, but what do we really know?

So as much as I think a short lived bounce is due I don't think it will happen.

Longer term I still think a 30% drop from the top and $120 oil is the topic of the day this summer. The Fed thinks they can reign in inflation with slow rate hiking, they are smoking crack at this point. They have totally missed the bus.

Silver and gold both closed above the 200-DMA.....If they both shoot up like they did at the market open, a repeat of this will signal a true rotation out of stocks and bonds and into PM's and cash....

Let's see what happens.

The last couple of cycles I have watched on my charts have shown me there is no let up in the drop on the horizon...of any meaning...and you're right, there are major outside influences in play at the moment which complicate things greatly.

But just looking at my charts, nothing is signaling this is going to let up soon...

The next turn up in S&P futures should occur around 2am tonight...let's see what happens then.

i was thinking about 2 months ago when the perfect time was going to be to buy mining stocks. back then i came up with a plan to buy in the day Powell announces his first rate hike. now it looks like the plan i made might be backfiring on me, he may not raise rates at all and gold miners will take off without me in them. this would be a major crime that i have perpetrated on myself. -

By turn up, I mean a normal cycle up...not some dramatic change

S&P has already dropped another 30 points since the close, but is now gaining a bit back

Now down about 17pts since 5pm (when futures close)...it's down 23+ since the regular NYSE close

I don't know if the futures I am looking at are wrong, but could the S&P be under 4100 before the markets open tomorrow? That will get people thinking.

if the S+P doesn't get you thinking, then get your head wrapped around gold.. GOLD is an element that never lies, and it is currently up $35 since 1:30 this afternoon.

jim cramer always says there is a bull market somewhere, and that somewhere is now precious metals.
