Neat bit of DoubleThink
"We are at war with Eastasia. We have always been at war with Eastasia"
LITERAL Doublethink.
Tucker Carlson in late March: "Of course, masks work. Everyone knows that. Dozens of research papers have proved it. In South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, the rest of Asia -- where coronavirus has been kept under control -- masks were key."
Now Tucker Carlson says masks and social distancing "have no basis of any kind in science. It's like a kind of bizarre health theater"
We realize Fox News is for entertainment, but this was just funny AND entertaining

Start a topic.
The diffrence is that Carlson is going in reversei.e. backwards.
Fauci and Cuomo support masks as does most everybody else now. Even my gov in AR has given mayors in the cities here the "option" to make masks required.
We all know that part of the mask thing before was because the U.S. pandemic response was so woefully under-prepared due to our leadership, that we didn't even HAVE masks for medical personnel, so they downplayed wearing them. It was just more disinformation most likely.
Hey send your kids back to college in dorms w/no masks. It' still a free country right?

The Land of Me
Refusing to wear a mask in public tells you much about someone.
Bottom line - it's all about them. Zero consideration for others.
Many cite personal choice and freedom.
I call it having your head up your ass.

I pointed out the inverse relationship between economic health and soaring covid cases many weeks ago.
Observing consumer behavior in places like AZ, SC, TX, FL are already demonstrating this. I guess helping to tank your regional and local economy is part of being a patriot now.

I live in SC. Please tell me how my local economy is tanking since you know more from your couch in AR than I do driving around here?

What would be the problem with that? The chances of dying from a drug overdose or a car accident among the young is infinitely higher than the chances of dying from the virus. You might say that the teachers/professors may get it. If so, have those professors with co-morbidities take a semester sabbatical. As far as infecting those at home, the risks of spreading the virus is much lower than the loss to our country of not educating our children properly.

Seems to me that the rise in the infected is directly proportional to the area where riots, looting, lawless activity and takeovers of whole areas of certain cities are under the disguise of demonstrations

I agree. I've seen it a lot. More so with those on the left if you want to be honest with yourself.
THEN = Anti-lockdown protesters (assumed to be TRUMP righties) are COVID-19 SPREADERS and are going to KILL PEOPLE
NOW = Police protesters (assumed to be left-leaning TRUMP HATERS) are incapable of spreading COVID-19 and in fact might STEM THE TIDE of the pandemic!!!!

How's that for a dose of Orwell?

I recommend wearing a mask if you have your head up your arse.
I am assuming you wear one from your post?
I wear one always - my choice.
I have no objection to someone NOT wearing one. I am not afraid of the virus, just respectful of it. Besides, hcap himself, the GURU of all thing covid, says nit wearing a mask outdoors, ala the demonstrators, is NOT that big of a deal.
Just ask him!
MY advice, if YOU are afraid of exposure, then YOU stay home and NOT interfere with the rights of others.
