That Was Fast!!
If what I'm hearing is correct and there's no reason to believe otherwise, both Classic Causeway and Forbidden Kingdom not going to Louisville.
Pace just got a helluva lot slower.

Blue Grass frontrunner Emmanuel also appears out; targeting a turf race
Early Voting also not definite (but will probably stay in if there is no pace?)

It’s probably the right move. Those two were no where. And I wouldn’t be surprised about Early Voting either. Browns other horse Zandon was probably the most impressive of the day. Large field , powered down the stretch like a good thing. He sort of laughed off that field. The Blue Grass may produce , cause that horse looked dead nuts and he can barrel through . The pace wasn’t particularly hot and he still kicked on.

Morello - who suffered a cut at the gate and threw a shoe during the race is a wait and see, possible pace factor.
Un Ojo - who suffered cuts and stitches , owners want to run. Will rest and train up to derby.
Tawny Port - owners want to run, may try Lexington to earn enough points to move up. If Classic and Forbidden withdraw , they may pass on the Lex.
Then there are the 2 horses that ran in Dubai - if they are coming.
4 weeks out and still a lot of questions to be answered but the owner of Taiba, who also owned Medina Spirit by the way, is probably itching to run.

Where did you read about the cut and shoe?
I have mixed feelings about him. On the one hand I question whether the Gotham was as good as the Beyer figure but I felt confident throwing out his Wood for several reasons even before your note. Not that I think he should go to the Derby, but I think he can bounce back with a much better effort next time.

I hope they do not run him.
I was high on him, he was the favorite for the wood.
Just picked a bad time to have a bad day at the office.
He will be 30-1 or higher if he goes.

Forbidden Kingdom is a sprinter.
I will be very interested in using him in the Breeders' Cup Sprint this fall.

Class - I know that I read Lezcano say there was blood on the left hind leg from a cut on DRF but can't remember where I read the the statement about the tossed shoe. I believe it was from Asmussen. I had searched several sites to try to find out if there was a reason Morello ran so bad. If I can find it again I'll let you know.

FYI
It’s confirmed stitches and a lost shoe.
My source was on site.
My issue is I loved this horse. Then he throws in a clunker.
If I toss him Derby day and he beats me in a tri or super I’m gonna be annoyed.

We all have little biases that we are aware of or sometimes not aware of. When I like a horse a lot, make a big bet, and he loses with even the smallest of excuses, I tend to give them another chance or two. It doesn’t usually pay off for me unless it was a major excuse.

Morello out. That puts Pioneer of Medina in should the connection want to go. I'd think PoM is probably a better Preakness option.
