Are ADW's on the way out? Looking like it.
I'm told by someone who has a pretty informed opinion that everything will merge into FanDuel or Draft Kings? Anyone hear something else?

So CD should expect to get $0 for its sale of TS, since ADWs are on the way out?

One of the people said TwinSpires could fetch $1.5 billion, according to the report, but cautioned that no final decision has been made and Churchill Downs could continue to own the platform.

And why would TS be looking to sell? According to your insider, they only need to wait until FanDuel or DraftKings comes to them and buys them out, right?

Nobody is paying anywhere close to that, especially given the terms.
Fanduel already owns TVG so I'm kind of confused to begin with,

ADW's as we know them are on the way out. Another large one is being shopped around.

CDI could cut every ADW and OTB out of the equation except TS for the KD and have a printing press from now until the end of time if it wanted to. Why would it ever sell that?

Suddenly CD playing nice with TVG.
Same with Nevada books.
Sent out the annoying "Your Feedback Matters ...." E-Mail to their players.
Thinking something is going on.
Yeah....I can see Twin Spires being sold.

The value isn't in the ADW handle, the value would be the ADW client list.
You already have customers accustomed to betting online, and would be looking to integrate some sports betting into it to make it a one stop shop.

$1.5 B for TS???
Maybe then they could afford to hire a programmer who knows how to design a tote board.

Might be tax advantage to splitting them off or giving them the death penalty

I can only speak for Illinois but CDI owns a casino or at least a significant portion of it. That casino already has a sports wagering app in Illinois. They already have that capability if they want to integrate it

Yep, twinspires.com/sports is operational in the states that allow sports betting. Pretty sure they own Betamerica and are rebranding to TS sports...
