Big News
I didn't want this to get lost in one of the other threads. Most of you may not care a whit, but after almost 45 years as a registered Democrat, I have withdrawn from the party. That doesn't mean I feel differently about issues, and it certainly doesn't mean I'm becoming a Republican. It means the way they have chosen to approach issues no longer works for me.
I still believe Trump is a poor strategist. Giving the lying criminal Kim Jung Un international credibility, withdrawing from the only document EVER to be signed by every nation except N. Korea (like they are a big manufacturing power) and some other pipsqueak nation. Placing tariffs on goods that would start a trade war. No thanks.

I fail to see how this thread is any news at all, forget about big news.
People have such an inflated view of themselves today, like any one of us has any significance affecting anything at all.

I'm disgusted by how Democrats want to make everything a racial issue. If not that, then it's sexist. If not that, then it's something else.
They want to make you feel bad so they have the higher moral ground, and from that point, they hope to guilt you into their way.
It's manipulation, and part of the reason why I stopped believing in them.

No big deal. All this means is that I'll just have to vote twice from now on...to pick up the slack.

I understand why they try to use identity politics and race baiting as a political tactic, as distasteful as it is. But it certainly makes the Democratic party look cheap. It seems to me a better tactic would be to formulate a plan and explain why their policies will make people's lives better.

I don't need or want any help from any stinking politician to make my life better, I'd rather do it on my own .

Post of the month. If you're counting on a politician to make your life better, you're going to be waiting a long time. And if the country's future fate depends on who the latest Supreme Court nominee is, maybe you should think about moving to a foreign country, if you feel this country's that fragile.Which it isn't,BTW

I didn't say I wouldn't vote Democratic. I just pulled my registration.
I guess there are advantages to living in Chicago that most of us just never get.
