Baffert and Navarro's horses didn't have the je ne sais quoi today.

idk the way Baffert wins some days, like Belmont Day this year and last, and other days...

Congrats on the winner, horse is erratic but when he runs a good one...look out.

Maybe its because he points his horses for certain days and not others?

His horses run to their form, thats all i ask as a player.

So you knew that Hopps and Dorr were going to go "off" form today?

Why ship across the country for days you aren't going to point those horses for?

These shipped from CA right? Not KY? His horses on Belmont day shipped from KY...

I thought Hopputunity would run better, bet really he got run off his feet, he is what he is, runs good races but is not that consistent in terms of winning.

Dr Dorr looked over matched to me, and distance challenged. I have never thought much of that horse.

They shipped from california, are you saying he cant win shipping in from california, or that its easier to be nefarious in Ky?

Should have run in the PrM race last night.
Or at least tried to get to the front today.
Sitting where he did eliminated him early on.

He was in an unfamiliar spot early on
Not sure he was overmatched...the horse he whipped a couple times ran pretty well in there.

This horse loves the course. Had a Grade 1, same track, same distance and a mile prep. His worst race on the page was at the bull ring. How he went off at that price was unbelievable.

If O'Brien doesn't get up with that horse that runs once a week I hit a nice pick 4. But this race was a giveaway at the price.

It was a one horse race - nothing else, except War Story did any work.
Looked more like a pose than a horse race.

Diversify surprised me. I had him on a little P-3 from Limousine Liberal, but I expected Dr Dorr to on the pace as well.

Diversify was a legitimate contender, just his performance was a little surprising.
In a file like that one, you would expect a little something from one of two others.

That was one of those old-school go honest/fast and open up, and make them do some running to catch and pass you.

I agree, nobody did much running to make a bid. Diversify ran a big brave effort, but there were no 'A' horses on the form before the race. Hop is a 'B' type. Dr. Dorr is a phony. War Story has peaked. Take Your Guns is an OC type who has a top trainer and some potential. Let's face it, a 'C' horse like Tapwrit was vying for favoritism (did he end up favored? didn't check).

So it's not like the field vastly under-performed. They just aren't very good.

I was live to the Lieutenant in multiple doubles paying $498 per $1-well beaten 2nd. Only played $5WPS on him

Agree 100% - and this is why they need to bring back the Aqueduct summer meet, last held in 1976. Otherwise they wasted money in reverting the Inner Dirt Track to a turf course - plus they need to dismantle the rails that separate the present Outer Turf Course and Inner Turf Course, which will give Aqueduct the same "super turf course" that Arlington, Gulfstream, and Laurel have.

Pardon me.
Sorry, could not help myself.
Never heard the words "super" and "Gulfstream" in the same sentence before.
Unless the word "bad" was in between them~!

I think having the two courses exist as only one would be too expensive to maintain - you would have to pave the entire thing at the same time. With an inner course, you can alternate paving.
