Any Saratoga connections on here?

What I mean is anyone at the track working that comes on here ? I would like to get confirmation that there are protocols being put in place at the track that confirm they are preparing for a return of fans. One of my friends also knows a food truck vendor who is scheduled to set up shop on August 1st at the track. Seems to me that someone should be able to confirm that Saratoga is at least planning to allow patrons in at a modified date.

For what it's worth, they've started putting out some picnic tables:

And this guy is doing some work on one of the big videoboards in the backyard:

Not sure what it all means, but it seems like a positive sign at this point..

I also heard (saw pictures) they’ve donated and set up picnic tables in Congress park.

Bob, I’d bet they will be Explicit and spend money to get the message out once Belmont ends.

I’d plan for nothing on track and if it happens , be lucky & happy if you get in this year.

The Casino in SYRACUSE, Checking ID’s at the door and no one with an address outside a 200 mile distance is being allowed in.

I know a lot of Saratoga visitors travel to Syracuse on dark days.

Heads up on that.

That certainly makes sense if they're planning to use fewer picnic tables in the backyard due to distancing measures. I'll check out Congress Park at some point this weekend and see.

Call me crazy or wishful thinking, but I envision them setting up big screens in off-track locations.

A few months ago, I mentioned trouble at Chistina Lee’s restaurant in Gulfstream Village. It turns out that it was about the AMTOTE machines inside the restaurant.

And when Gulfstream was going through iterations of open casino , closed walking ring, people got bottle necked inside Christine Lee’s at the machines. Friction.

At the moment, Christine Lee’s has signage out front: THE TOTE MACHINES ARE FOR RESTAURANT GUEST ONLY.

I've never thought (or heard) of a trip to Syracuse as part of the consideration of Saratoga visitors...I've never been, what exactly is the appeal of driving a few hours out there on a dark day?

I’d never do it, but I thought people like it because its a Vegas like resort. I thought it was closer than 3 hours.

Suff , I know several people who make a trek to Rivers Casino in Schenectady on those dark days you are talking about. The appeal for them is the book with sports betting. Also that casino is only about 30 minutes from TOGA.

Thanks for the pictures greatly appreciated. I did get some semi confirmed news that Toga plans on allowing a certain amount of owners in. Apparently they will give each owner/trainer a select amount of tickets ...right now they are saying 6. Maybe they will try this for the first few weeks and see how things go. I am very hopeful in still making the trek to the Spaaaaaaaaaaaa in August.

They are donating some picnic tables to the park, for the summer. The Casino in Verona NY is open. It’s only 2 hours away. ( Turning Stone) and there is a distance limit. Got the e mail from NYRA this week for refunds. I still have not heard one thing about people getting in as far as general public . Rivers and Saratoga Racino are rumbling about opening but not yet. Rivers does have the Sports book so once sports are being played again I gotta think they will open hopefully soon after . Like I said in the other thread there’s not much hope of getting in. The Whitney viewing stand is even off limits. People take pictures and watch works through the fence . They were toying with the idea of letting owners in for the Belmont but decided not to. Some of them carry a lot of weight in NY so maybe it may happen here.

Yes thats it, I had my names criss cross. Schenectady not Syracuse. You know, even though a lot of catholic kids from NYC & Boston go there, the school name “orange men”... not ideal.
