The Pegasus should be highly anticipated.

Yeah, I'd say he's a very good horse.

I am really glad he ran great. He cleared up something that needed clearing up.

I became a fanboy of Max Sec.
I've had favorites before as we all do. Still remember hearing about his Maiden score and watching the replay and I was hooked. For an odds better like myself, I could never bet him till he played against the real ones.
Only bet him twice. The Florida Derby and Kentucky Derby. Broke even at best.
Not sure why, just one of those horses that captures you and you want to see do great.

The Beyer figure hasn't been posted yet.
I haven't reviewed the card at all, but I was at the track and I can tell you that a lot of horses were visually staggering home. It seemed like one of those tracks that was so slow and tiring, even the closers could not muster any kind of serious rally into contention and finish well enough to outrun a staggering front runner. They were often dead tired before the serious running even began and did very little running at all.
Maximum Security was one of the few horses that ran well start to finish.
He outran Spun Again to the lead when the latter initially tried to make it, repulsed his serious bid later to put him away, and then finished fine.
Normally I'd say Spun Run ran huge also because that kind of trip often blows second money, but on that track the horses chasing him for second that should have had a shot to pick him up after Max Sec put him away were tired too. He's a good horse though. No doubt. Just not as good as the 3yo of the year.

If Omaha Beach wins the Malibu it still isn't enough, but I don't vote so my opinion means jack.

How quickly we've fallen. I remember when we all were criticizing Cigar because of him getting such mediocre (for those days) numbers.
