I have no problem with this guy pulling money out at the last second. I feel any bettor should have the ability to place or cancel a wager at any point until the pools have closed. I've cancelled wagers late because of body language.

If you have time to cancel, you have time to bet later.

The guy is doing it with intent to manipulate/defraud the public....anyway u slice the cake it's bad for Everybody across the board....what's even more disturbing is Mnr has got to know who is doing this and not banning him from wagering

1/9 first flash and then staying that way through most of the betting With intent to pull out last second holds most bettors at hostage

I have cancelled wagers at the last second as well. Maybe my horse breaks through the gate, knocks the gate open, is backed out of the gate. I will try and cancel all wagers with my horse under these circumstances. I have been shut out a couple of times but I make the effort.

Every track I have ever been to has a policy that once the bettor leaves the window, all transactions are final.

For something that supposedly happens so often, there's scant hard evidence.

I'm thinking you don't understand the difference between a 'fair and square' cancel and the player making a bet he has no intention of keeping.

You can cancel bets up to a certain amount at the machine...and you can cancel all the others at the teller window.

That's how it is in Illinois, at least.

Can you walk away from the window then return later in the betting period for that race and cancel your bet? And then can you make another bet?
I think this should not be permitted because it opens up the availability of bettors to manipulate the pools. JMO.

Yes you can.

They'll cancel your bet anytime...and let you bet anything else you want.

Yes u can cancel at window with teller then bet in a different direction....usually whenever I do it I'll make a under my breath comment like I'm not betting no 6/5 or sometimg like that...

Like SRU said its one thing if u cancel your $1 tri 234/1568/1234568 then cancel a 6 $500 win bets on the 3....imo

I have canceled bets of all types and sizes right at the window...and no one has ever asked me for a reason why I was canceling my bet.

Whizz is a riddle wrapped in a mystery wrapped in an enigma, One minute he's pounding DD's keys at CT just because a horse is 1/9 on the board, next minute he's canceling because he's not betting no 6/5, LOL Funny thing is I know guys at the track just like him and everything they says they really do.
