This will arguably be the most entertaining debate of the series. I can't wait to hear Republicans borrow the "theatrical performance" phrase from Dems in the wrap-up. I think I may resume my drinking career tonight.

I may have to crack out the gaffe meter. Figure JB is good for 8-10.

Nobody seems to care about Biden's gaffes. This is one angle I just don't really understand. His problem isn't saying something ridiculous, because he'll never be held accountable anyway - his problem will be just looking aloof or vacant - which is why I sort of expect him to be a borderline nut by design tonight. I expect him to do Obama's dirty work, which he's good at, and make sure that nobody accuses him of being "too polite". I really think that his primary objective tonight is to make all the Chris Matthews' of the world lick their chops after he unleashes stereotype after stereotype at Ryan, chopping at the base of the tree at every opportunity, completely ignoring anything directed his way in the form of criticism or question. Ninety minutes of firing up Democrats with the same garbage they've been enjoying throughout the campaign, and the more outrageous and vicious, gaffes and all, the better.

Sometime in the next 7-8 hours, we will invade somebody for some reason.
The debate will be cancelled out of respect.

I would hate to be Libya right about now......the results of the investigation just became clear today....yadda yadda yadda.

I think republicans would be better served lowering their expectations a bit.

Ryan is a big underdog here with the daunting task of facing off against the much more experienced, well respected, former 6 term senator from Delaware.

Expectations of what? A surge in the polls as a result of Joey? Not likely.

Policy wonks are rarely entertaining.

What's the weather forecast? Are they going to be at altitude above sea level? Can we know who was coaching Joe? What other factors could be used as excuses for a poor performance by Mr. Bite-me?

Sure does. He's about as articulate as possible in that video. Now, if he could sum it up in a six word slogan, the majority would probably love him. Remember that Pew poll? Almost half the democrats polled found the presidential debate "confusing"... This debate may hit 80% confusion level with that kind of eloquence...

joe got down there early, I'm assuming in order to get acclimated to the altitude. I heard reports that Axlerod took charge of Joe's debate prep.

Let's face it, 4 + 2 is gonna give Joey a migraine, let alone detailed nums.

BUT, Paulie will dumb it down. 1 inept fool in the form of BO + 1 tired Senator for 40 years = bupkis.
