Very.
I remember watching his TV series as a kid.
As a side note, I watched a part of Shadowland last night. Anthony Hopkins has a ponderous body of work. The only other actor I can think of that would be able to portray Hitchcock would be Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Hitchcock, besides directing, put in cameo appearances in every movie that he made at some point in the film.
It was an added bonus if you could spot him.

Yes! That's exactly what he did. A touch of class, humor, and brilliance in how he did it.

Thx. Pretty sure I've not seen it which explains my ignorance. I'll add it to my TiVo list and see if TCM airs it. (No, don't do NetFlix.)

Didn't get the shirt collars correct. One always stuck out. He had them tailored that way.

That started with The Lodger(1927). I think it was his fifth film. He did it because a bit actor did not show up for work and Hitch took his place. He did it in every film after that.
In one of his films, I think it was Family Plot, he's only a silhouette.
When Gus Van Sant re-made Psycho he did a cameo in the same spot.

He came to believe the cameos the audience so he started putting them early in the films. I think the earliest is when he misses the bus in North By Northwest.

I believe the first actor, just as BigMacs first YouTube opens, is Danny Houston. His father was John Houston, the director, his sister is Anjelica Houston. I've seen his acting in a few movies, he's not bad, certainly comes from a famous acting family.

We used to love watching Alfred Hitchcock TV mysteries.
I'll never forget him with that cigar.
My cousin Dan (who is late now) loved this show....he was a cigar smoker and used to put his cigar up to the TV screen so it looked like AH was smoking it!
Thanks for posting this, BigMack, I don't go to many movies, but I'll be sure and go to this one!
