Duck For Cover

Good morning from Nebraska. As expected a winter storm has started here and as of this moment is going full force. Only about 3 inches of snow so far, but a with the dreaded sustained 35 MPH winds, and gust to 60 MPH. Should get about 6 more inches. Get ready, if you are in the way.

Oh yeah, this just in, the first signs of spring has been moved till June 1st.

Sorry Jay I didn't get a chance to read your post because I was too busy adjusting the thermostat on my central air conditioning.

You can get your revenge when I'm forced to stay in some high school gym for 3 days because of Hurricane Waldo.

Try and stay warm!

We're building a wall to stop storms at Pittsburgh.

The first slight adventure of the morning is done. I opened my garage door and did a quick removal job of the expected drift that always appears there during the storm. It was 42 inches deep. My John Deere did not break a sweat. But any one in Nebraska is not going anywhere today, it is nasty out there. And for those that might laugh and say that the typical Nebraske hick owns a tractor,

April is the new February.

Ice storm heading in later today.
TV weather girl said Thursday, two models at work - we could have sunny and mid 60s or an ice storm.

Duh.....

Next door in Colorado I seem to remember it was really mild into December. I guess the weather gods are getting back at us.
