8th at Belmont from May 17th is listed as being run along the hedge, no temp rail, but it isn't correct. The rail was the same as it was for the other inner turf races, 18 feet.

Incorrect fractions have been posted for races 4-6 today at Woodbine.

Races 4 and 6 were turf races and Trakus malfunctioned during Race 5.

I caught the error in race 5, but what was wrong with races 4 & 6?

There’s been an ongoing problem with the turf times since last season.

I got.....

R4 = 24.30 – 49.52 – 1:14.08 – 1:26.25

R6 = 25.79 – 49.92 – 1:12.11 – 1:18.03

It is unbelievable how little these tracks care. Most of these tracks have had problems for YEARS. It never changes. Lone Star, Evangeline, Will Rogers, Canterbury, etc. I'm going to compile a list of how often tracks have timing problems. I'm just talking about races missing one or more fractions. There are other kinds too, but I'll stick to those. I think people will be surprised by the sheer amount of times it happens.

There is no way the last two races at Arlington yesterday (5-27) are correct in my opinion. The gap between them is way too big.

The Belmont 7th is wrong too. Trakus most likely has it right, the "official" timer does not.

EDIT: I could be wrong about Arlington, going to have to do some more work on that one.

Not sure what went on at TDN today. The 8th race has no times listed at all and says in the chart they aren't available because they weren't posted. Replay shows fractions at every call.

Opening day at Ruidoso greeted us with at least four of 10 races having timing problems.
