That hurts, doesn't it?
Which generation are you referring to?

The Boomers vs. the Millenials because that's

It's the Boomers that are catering to the Millenials. Of course it's our (the Boomers) fault. The Boomers don't want to grow up , and the Millenials are dictating what we see. I have relatives and friends my age that still go to Disney World multiple times each year to see Mickey. I keep telling them "Jeez grow up !"
I haven't seen a "Super Hero" movie since Superman. That's the one with Christofer Reeve i'm talking about. I want to watch actors reacting to what another actor says, not a "green screen" , where they then insert special effects. Excuse me for ranting.

I just watched a movie called Desert Dancer. Not the best movie ever, but it was moving.

Trailer:

Thinking about the last 20 years the adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's trilogy was very well done and entertaining.

In no particular order:

The Godfather
Airplane
Dirty Harry
Blazing Saddles
A Hard Days Night
Horse Feathers
Die Hard
Lethal Weapon
Thief
The Wild Bunch
The Verdict
Reservoir Dogs
A Shot In The Dark

Three "Never heard of it" movies that I enjoyed

Busting Elliot Gould and Robert Blake as two vice cops trying to nail Mr. Big, despite no support, and occasional inteference from their superiors.Excellent action scenes and a chase finale involving two ambulances!Kind of a comedy-drama version of Serpico.

The Silent Partner Elliot Gould (again) plays a bank teller trying to outwit a vicious bank robber after Gould helps himself to some of the robbers heist money. You'll never look at a tropical fish tank the same way again.

Charley Varrick Walter Matthau (at his drollest) is a New Mexico crop duster who robs banks on the side.Until he robs one that the Mob uses to launder money. No Elliot Gould though.

Great performances in good, or even not so good movies.

Jack Nicholson in The Last Detail..The definitive Nicholson IMHO.

Sissy Spacek in Carrie.Poignant look at a teenage misfit, amidst all the gore and blood.

Jeff Bridges in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. The ultimate free spirit in a clever heist movie.

Nicholson's greatest performance in my opinion was in The Shining.

I'm not an actor but I think I know one when I see one.

The Shining was easy.

Anybody can be a crazy guy.

His best work was One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest or A Few Good Men or The Departed.

Really not a good movie and he's had way better performances. Some were mentioned above. Hell, he was better in As Good As It Gets.

Maybe, but there are certainly actors who were brilliant in their crazy role. Heath Ledger as The Joker in Dark Knight comes to mind.
