Best place for BC simo in Mid Atlantic
Recently temporarily relocated to Elkton, Md/Newark, De.
I've been to Laurel and Delaware Parks recently, haven't been to Parx since the renovation. What's the best place to wager on Breeders Cup Saturday in the area?
20 mins to Delaware Park
80 mins to Laurel
60 mins to Parx
Any other OTBs
or Tracks in the area worth considering? Have yet to try Timonium, know little about their OTB but heard they've renovated or something to that effect.

Laurel has recently remodeled and has a very nice set up for simulcasting.

Def not Parx, the area for horse players is small. Laurel is nice as previously recommended. I have never been to Delaware park before.
I know some people arent crazy about the TV broadcast, but I enjoy it. If I wasnt going to it this year I would put my bets in and watch from home.

Monmouth has a real nice VIP room. they give you all the tools you need and feed you and give you some type of a rebate if you are a decent sized player.

You got that right. I went there for BC Friday a few years ago. At 5pm, they told my friend and I that they were closing the area where we were sitting along with the betting machines in that area. They acted like they didn't even know a BC was going on.

my favorite mid-atlantic simulcasting venue would be the upstairs clubhouse at penn national. maybe get there early on saturday to secure a table but that's probably true anywhere for bc.
of the one's you mentioned, probably delaware park.
timonium did renovate some but the section still might be kinda small for breeder's cup?

Delaware is pretty cool, you will also be able to bet Sunday football, albeit parlays.
They have a player's club and it doesn't get too crowded. I was there at least one year for BC.

I am on their email list and they are having an event with buffet in I think the Trophy Room. If the OP wants I can look it up, it is a nice place, there's stuff to do nearby even in the fall.

Isn't there an OTB in Elkton or pretty close? If you like beer check this place out?

the VIP room that i was referring to is downstairs in a room that is part of the teletheatre looking directly out at the track. the Trophy room is comfortable and nice as well.

I am really not surprised at all. I have been to Philly Park a couple times and then Parx once when it changed over. As is the case with most racinos, the horse player area was reduced dramatically. No one knew where I could even find a program, within five minutes almost got into a fist fight at the bar, and then had people in the bathroom literally bathing in the sinks. I will never, ever go again.
